Chimpanzee Tracking, Canopy Walk & Pristine Rainforest Adventures
Nyungwe Forest National Park Located in Rwanda’s southwest, Nyungwe Forest National Park is one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests. This ancient forest is home to 13 species of primates, including chimpanzees and colobus monkeys, as well as over 300 bird species and hundreds of plant types.
The highlight for many is the chimpanzee tracking experience, where visitors can observe playful troops in the wild. Nyungwe also features the only canopy walkway in East Africa — a 60-meter-high suspension bridge offering bird’s-eye views of the treetops. It’s also a haven for hikers, with over 130 kilometers of well-maintained trails.
