Two days isn’t really enough to explore Rwanda, but our 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari is certainly enough to trek mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, one of their natural habitats, designed for all travelers interested in encountering the rare mountain gorillas but have limited time and money.
Itinerary
Arrive early enough and meet your driver guide at Kigali airport or after breakfast at a hotel in Kigali.
He will brief you on what your 2 days Rwanda gorilla safari is about then you begin your 2 to 3 hours’ journey to Volcanoes National Park in the northwest. Arrive and check-in to your lodge
Assemble at Kinigi park headquarters for briefing on the set rules and regulations for gorilla trekking.
You will need some packed lunch/snacks and bottled water and be equipped with water proof hiking boots, day pack, camera with no flashlight, long sleeved shirts or t-shirts, trousers, walking stick and others.
You will be put in a group of 8 visitors to track 1 habituated family and your adventure will last you about 4 to 8 hours depending on your hiking speed, nature of habitat and location of these creatures.
After, drive back to Kigali and this will mark the end of your 2 days gorilla safari in Rwanda.
