Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After introductions and a brief safari orientation, you’ll board your comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle for the journey to Masai Mara.
As you leave Nairobi behind, you will drive through the Great Rift Valley, one of Africa’s most spectacular geological landscapes. Arriving in Masai Mara around midday, check into your lodge or luxury tented camp, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch while soaking in the sounds and sights of the savannah. Take a short rest before heading out for your first afternoon game drive, the perfect time to spot wildlife as animals become more active in the cooler hours.
Your afternoon adventure will take you deep into the reserve, where you have a chance to see the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes—as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and a variety of antelope species. Your guide will provide insights into animal behavior, tracking tips, and excellent photography spots.
As the sun begins to set, enjoy the golden light over the savannah while returning to your lodge. Relax on the lodge veranda or terrace with stunning views, then enjoy a hearty dinner featuring local and international cuisine. Spend the night in your lodge or tented camp, listening to the sounds of the wild and preparing for the next day’s full-day game drive.
